Can I Sell on Redbubble But Not Have a Debit or Credit Card?

(Last Updated On: January 15, 2022)

Do you want to sell on Redbubble but can’t get a debit or credit card?

You’re not alone.

Many people have a difficult time setting up a bank account to get a credit or debit card.

Luckily, Redbubble is an art marketplace for everyone, even for people who do not own a debit or credit card, or a bank account.

This means that the marketplace is open to everyone in the world, even though they may not have access to traditional banking.

Setting Up Redbubble Account to Get Paid

If you want to start selling on Redbubble, you have to set up your account first.

Before you can upload your designs, you’ll need to confirm your email address.

By confirming your email, you’ll also find an account notification mailed to the email address you used when signing up. This message will contain a link that will automatically confirm your email address and let Redbubble knows you can start using their account.

After your account is confirmed, it is time to fill out your payment details.

In the meantime, you’ll need to pick the currency that you want to be paid in. The currency can’t be changed afterward, which is why you should make sure it’s the correct one.

You’ll also have to choose a payment option.

There are still only two choices: Paypal or bank account.

The bank account option is only available for US, UK, and Australian bank accounts, but this can be avoided by using services like Payoneer, where you can even sign up for a free credit card.

If you are going to use a Paypal account, then make sure this account is verified.

When I Get Paid on Redbubble?

It is important to be aware of the payment threshold. In order to receive the monthly payment, you need to earn at least $20, €20, or £20.

You should also know that if you have multiple accounts on Redbubble then you cannot combine the earnings of these accounts into one payment.

In other words, every single account has a $20 payment threshold.

You’ll also want to tweak your margin settings. These are set up on all product types and control the percentage of profit you receive from every sale.

How Long Does it Take for Redbubble to Pay You?

The answer to this question is not as simple as it may seem. In order to understand the answer, you need to know the difference between a sale and a payout. Sales are generated when you sell your product on Redbubble. A payout is generated when Redbubble pays you for those sales.

Sales usually take about 2-7 days to be processed and paid out, but it can take up to 3 weeks if there are any issues with your account or if the payment system is experiencing technical difficulties.

This is why you can see a pending status in the sales history section. This means Redbubble doesn’t receive a payment from the customer.

How Often Do You Get Paid by Redbubble?

Redbubble is an online marketplace where artists can create and upload products to sell, such as t-shirts, phone cases, stickers, pillows, and more.

Artists earn approximately 20% of the price of each product sold.

The company pays out once a month on the 15th and the last day of the year for sales that don’t meet the payment threshold.

Do You Need PayPal for Redbubble?

PayPal is not required for Redbubble. You will get paid for your sold designs using a wired transfer to your bank account.

The bank account option is only available for US, UK, and Australian bank accounts, but many artists are using services like Payoneer, where you can even sign up for free, get a US or EU account and a credit card.

Here Are Some of My Favorite Tools For Print-on-demand

Thank you for reading this article. I hope you found it helpful as you build your own print-on-demand business. Here are some tools I use as a designer that I hope you will also find helpful.

Designs: For getting started, I really like Creative Fabrica. They have millions of cheap graphics that can elevate your t-shirt design. If you are not the most skillful designer, then try Placeit or Vexels. These are platforms, where you can find thousands of pre-made t-shirt designs you can easily edit and publish on any print-on-demand platform. I recommend Placeit for beginners and after you get some sales move to Vexels.

Free Designs: I love Canva. I’m using this platform almost every day. With Canva, you can create stunning t-shirt designs, they already have an entire section, where you can make your artwork from scratch or use some pre-made templates and edit them. Canva comes with two main pricing plans: FREE and PRO. And if you are a beginner, then I recommend the free plan, it should be enough for you.

Disclosure: Some of the links above may contain affiliate partnerships, meaning, at no additional cost to you, NechEmpire may earn a commission if you click through to make a purchase.
