How to Upload A Font to Kittl and Make Your Design Stand Out

Fonts are the new way to express oneself and design a mood. You should not underestimate the power of fonts because they can have a profound effect on how people feel about your design.

And don’t forget that one of the most popular t-shirts comes with simple text-based designs.

Because I use Creative Fabrica to get stunning fonts for my designs, but I have to manually upload them to the graphic tool I’m using for design creation.

At this moment, I use Photoshop, Canva, and Kittl as my go-to graphic software.

And in this article, I want to show you how to upload a font to Kittl and use them to improve your designs.

Upload Font to Kittl

Uploading your font to Kittl is simple, and the best part is that for any fonts you add to this tool, you can apply all the effects the editor has. I’m talking about shadow, decoration, and curves.

So, if you want to know how to do it, here is a simple guide to follow:

STEP 1: Open a new project or use the template.

STEP 2: In the design interface, open the Text Settings by either clicking on any text or by adding a text box.

STEP 3: Click on the Typeface preview to open the library.

STEP 5: A new window with short notice will appear, click on Choose Fonts.

STEP 6: Find the font on your computer and select TTP or OTF file.

STEP 7: Add more font styles if they are available.

STEP 8: In the last step, you need to find the new font by clicking the typeface library and checking the Uploads section.

Can I use Google Fonts For Print on Demand?

There is no need to buy fonts on dedicated marketplaces, you can use Google Fonts for commercial projects such as POD. However, I still recommend reading the license for each font you want to use.

What Fonts Look Most Professional on a T-shirt?

I don’t think there is a “most professional-looking” font when it comes to designing t-shirts. It is all about personal preference, but I should recommend fonts from the serif family like Georgia, Times New Roman, or Cambria.

But you should also use sans serif fonts because the fonts look clearer and modern because they do not have small strokes attached to their letters.

When I design for my Redbubble shop, I always make 3 versions of the design for the keyword. One simple text design with one color, then a multicolored text design and the last one is an illustration.

This way, the customer can choose his or her favorite.

When I’m choosing a font for my designs, I always go for an easy-to-read font that is modern and clear. The reason is simple. With the text, you are expressing something, a statement, and it should be easy to read.

DESIGNS: For getting started, I like Kittl. It is a fantastic place with highly professional templates, that can be edited and used for print-on-demand. In my opinion, it is a go-to place for any person, who wants to make money with POD.

Another of my favorites is Creative Fabrica. They have millions of cheap graphics that can elevate your t-shirt design. If you are not the most skillful designer, then try Placeit or Vexels. These are platforms, where you can find thousands of pre-made t-shirt designs you can easily edit and publish on any print-on-demand platform. With Canva, you can create stunning t-shirt designs, they already have an entire section, where you can make your artwork from scratch or use some pre-made templates and edit them. Canva comes with two main pricing plans: FREE and PRO. And if you are a beginner, then I recommend the free plan, it should be enough for you.

SELL YOUR ART – Start selling your graphics, vectors, or photography on Wirestock to save time and make more money. Take your POD business to the next level. If you are serious about selling your designs on t-shirts, mugs, and other products, you need to sell them on the biggest marketplaces like Etsy or Amazon. You should also sell for the best prices through on-demand fulfillment companies like Printul or Printify.
