You just started selling on Redbubble and uploaded your newest artwork to this platform and you’re excited to see it go viral.
But then you notice that your artwork is not selling.
So, you wait a few days, weeks, or months, but nothing happens.
It’s hard for artists to make a living off of their artwork these days, and with Redbubble, there’s a lot of confusion about whether or not your art is being sold.
In fact, beginner artists are often confused about how to tell if their artwork has been sold on Redbubble or not.
After all, it’s hard to see the numbers behind the cloud of abstraction.
But it’s actually a lot easier than you think.
Artwork Has Been Sold on Redbubble
Redbubble has a pretty addictive notification system for artists that their art has been sold.
And addictive is a good word here because I’m always waiting for the email from Redbubble telling me that I’ve made a sale.
As you probably understand, Redbubble is sending an email with the subject “You’ve made a Sale” to every artist who has sold a design on any product that is enabled.
In fact, you get an email that looks like this:

Can You See Who Bought Your Art on Redbubble?
For privacy reasons, Redbubble cannot disclose any personal information about its customers. However, you can easily send a generic message to your buyers every time you sell any product.
You can read more about this topic in this article: Redbubble Settings Every Beginner Should Use
What Happens If You Buy Your Own Product on Redbubble?
You have uploaded your art on Redbubble and made it available on some products; now, you want to check how it looks on a particular product.
So, you decided to buy it.
But wait, can you really buy your own product on Redbubble? Will my account be suspended?
Don’t worry, I buy my own art on Redbubble almost every month, and it’s quite common practice. It is an allowed action, but only when you are logged in to your account.
You cannot log in to your other account and then buy your design, this is illegal behavior and if you get caught, all of your accounts will get banned.
So, make sure, you are logged into the artist account and then you can legally buy your own design.
As a bonus, you will only be charged the base price without your profit margin.
Bottom Line
Redbubble is a popular marketplace, where you can sell your artwork for free.
However, I still think, that this platform is for beginners, and if you want to make more money and get more control over your designs and the quality of selling products, you should start selling on Etsy and connect your shop with Printful or Printify or even start your own Shopify website.

Here Are Some of My Favorite Tools For Print-on-demand
DESIGNS: For getting started, I like Kittl. It is a fantastic place with highly professional templates, that can be edited and used for print-on-demand. In my opinion, it is a go-to place for anyone who wants to make money with POD.
Another of my favorites is Creative Fabrica. They have millions of cheap graphics that can elevate your t-shirt design. If you are not the most skillful designer, then try Placeit or Vexels. These are platforms, where you can find thousands of pre-made t-shirt designs you can easily edit and publish on any print-on-demand platform. I recommend Placeit for beginners and after you get some sales move to Vexels.
GET UNLIMITED DIGITAL ASSETS – Envato Elements is a subscription-based digital assets platform that provides a wide range of digital assets. Whether you’re in need of fonts, stock videos, photos, motion graphics, mock-ups, overlays, or brushes – you name it – Envato Elements is likely to have it. It’s your one-stop service for all types of creative resources.
SELLING GRAPHIC DESIGNS – Freepik makes it simple to get your design in front of a huge audience of paying customers. It’s a set-it-and-forget-it source of passive income. The earnings per download may seem small, but they can compound into decent money over time. And they are also accepting AI designs. Try it for free.
SELLING LOW-CONTENT BOOKS – Selling low-content and no-content books on Amazon can be a great way to boost your online income. I’m using Book Bolt to do the research, get pre-made interiors, and create covers. And you can try the platform for free.
Take your POD business to the next level. If you are serious about selling your designs on t-shirts, mugs, and other products, you need to sell them on the most significant marketplaces like Etsy or Amazon. It would be best if you also sold for the best prices through on-demand fulfillment companies like Printul or Printify.
